Day #4 of 30 Day Minimalist Challenge

So this morning I am stood in the bathroom, cleaning my teeth, wondering which 4 items to select for today's challenge. These were right there in front of my eye-line.

Nit-combs! If you've ever had primary school-age children then you will know the hell of nits. The assorted chemicals you pour onto your kids hair (along with assorted old wives remedies), none of which seem to work. Oh and hours and hours of combing through hair with a fine-toothed nit-comb! Of course as soon as they were clear they would catch them from someone else at school and the cycle would start again.

However our kids have not been at primary school for years, ergo they've not had nits for years. They're not going to catch them again now so we don't need 3 nit-combs! My wife said "Let's keep one, just in case" but just in case is why we have so much stuff. They're all going.

The sponge this was a slightly bizarre birthday gift along with some body wash years ago. Probably used it about twice and has been sat on the bathroom shelf for a couple of years, literally gathering dust.

Day 4 done and I think these are the first items to go straight to the bin. They won't be the last!
